About Roger Ebert
Roger Ebert was an American journalist and film critic. He was the 1st film critic to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Roger’s 1st job as a film critic was for the Chicago Sun-Times. He had his review for the horror film “The Night of the Living Dead” published in Reader’s Digest. He co-hosted television programs with several co-hosts including the most memorable, Gene Siskel. “Siskel and Ebert” became a dynamic duo and reviewed thousands of films.
Roger’s favorite films were “Citizen Kane” and “La Dolce Vita”. Roger never wavered on his reviews, he stood by his ratings even when confronted with inconsistencies. Roger once dated Oprah Winfrey and pushed her to develop her own television show.
