Ron Paul is an American politician and writer.
His Legacy
He was a congressman and a presidential candidate 3 times - in 1988 as the Libertarian Party candidate and as a Republican candidate in 2008 and 2012. He was the first chairman of the conservative "Citizens for a Sound Economy" and he is regarded as the intellectual godfather of the Tea Party Republican movement. He retired from Congress in 2013.
His Personal Life
He is married and he has 5 children. He worked as an obstetrician-gynecologist for more than 2 decades. He has also published many books on Austrian economics and liberal philosophy.
