About Roy Cohn
Roy Cohn was called to the bar in 1948, two years after graduating from the law school. During the initial stages of his career he worked with the United States Attorney. He rose to prominence when he served as the chief counsel for the U.S. Senator Joseph McCarthy during the 1954 Army–McCarthy legal battle.
He also served as the prosecutor for the United States Department of Justice during the Ethel and Julius Rosenberg court case. The American attorney was widely considered as the mentor of former United States President Donald Trump.
His father, Albert C. Cohn was a United States judge and politician. Dora Marcus was the maiden name of his mother. Many reports have suggested that Cohn was gay and had an affair with his former employee G. David Schine.
He completed his training at Columbia Law School at age 20. Prior to that, he attended Fieldston School and the Horace Mann School.
After a number of legal issues, he was disbarred in 1986.
During his active days, he published many books with some titled “A Fool for a Client: My Struggle Against the Power of a Public Prosecutor” and “Only a Miracle Can Save America from the Red Conspiracy”.
