About Rumiko Takahashi
Rumiko is a manga artist from Japan whose works have gained a lot of popularity. She is highly considered as one of the most popular and most successful manga artists in Japan.
Career
In 1975, she released “Star of Futile Dust”. In 1978, she released “Those Selfish Aliens” which was her first professional work. Several of her works have been featured in Shōnen Sunday magazine. They include “Time Warp Trouble” and “Golden gods of Poverty”. She got her second major works printed in Big Comic Spirits Magazine.
In the 1980’s, her works including “Fire Tripper” and “Laughing Target” among others were made into original video animations. Some of her works have been converted into English.
Trivia
She schooled at Gekiga Sonjuku, a school for manga.
