About Ryan Key
American musician Ryan Key is best known for his association with the music group Yellowcard as lead singer and rhythm guitarist. He’s also been associated with The Lone Tree Recordings. As a solo musician, he has written tunes using his full name, William Ryan Key.
Family
He got married to Alyona Alekhina in 2013. After they separated, he got engaged to Laura Gillway in 2022.
Education
He studied at Episcopal High School of Jacksonville and Florida State University.
Career
In early 2000, while with the Yellowcard group, the EP “Still Standing” was launched. The following years, in 2001 and 2002, they released “One for the Kids” and “The Underdog”.
The band went on to release another album “Lights and Sounds” the next year.
The album “Paper Walls” was launched in 2007; and in 2008, the live album “Live from Las Vegas at the Palms” was released.
In April of 2008, Yellowcard officially announced an "unknown break". During this time, Key engaged in side project "Big If" with Sean O'Donnell of the pop rock band Reeve Olive.
He also collaborated with Taboo of the Black Eyed Peas adding tunes on his song "Gotta Get it Now".
On May 18, 2018, he launched his first single "Vultures" from the EP album “Thirteen”.
