Sam Taylor-Johnson (previously Sam Tayor-Wood) is an English filmmaker, photographer, and visual artist.
Career
Sam Taylor-Johnson went to Beacon Community College before creating fine art professionally in the '90s. She exhibited pieces including a photo recreating a scene showing John Lennon and Yoko Ono. She began creating video productions in 1994 with her work Killing Time. She has created many works of art, including a huge photomural of well known cultural icons, but Sam Taylor-Johnson is most known directing the film Nowhere Boy. This film was mainly based on the childhood of John Lennon of the English rock band The Beatles.
