Sanya Richards is a Jamaican-born American athlete who has made a name for herself in the 400-meters event. Richards won four Olympic gold medals and five World Championships before announcing her retirement in 2016. She also won six national championships and set the new American 400-meters record in 2006.
Family
She’s the daughter of Sharon and Archie Richards. In 2010, she became the wife of NFL player Aaron Ross. Seven years later, they had their first son named Aaron Jermaine Ross II.

After completing St. Thomas Aquinas High School, this celebrity enrolled at the University of Texas, Austin.
Achievements
She was named the “Female World Athlete of the Year” by the IAAF in 2006. That same year, she shared the Jesse Owens Award with Jeremy Wariner.
