About Sarah Polley
Sarah Polley is a Canadian actress, director, producer, writer and political activist. She came to prominence in the late 1980s through her appearances in the children’s television series “Ramona” as the child character, Ramona Quimby.
She is also known for starring in the television series “Road to Avonlea” in the 1990s and the films “Mr. Nobody” and “My Life Without Me”.
Family Life
She grew up alongside four elder siblings in Toronto, Ontario. Her parents’ names are Diane Elizabeth and Michael Polley. She later found out that her real biological father was film producer Harry Gulkin. She explored the topic amongst other family secrets in her documentary film “Stories We Tell”.
She was previously married to film editor David Wharnsby. She has two children with David Sandomierski, her husband since 2011.
Achievements
She has received an Oscar nomination and multiple Gemini Awards, Genie Awards and Toronto Film Critics Association Awards.
Trivia
