Demetrius Savelio, known on stage as Savage, is a New Zealand rapper and recording artist who is best recognized as a former member of the hip-hop group called, The Deceptikonz.

He and his former group, the Deceptikonz released their studio album in 2002, which reached number 3 on the New Zealand Album charts.
Savelio’s debut solo single, Swing (2005) stayed at number one on the New Zealand Singles chart for five consecutive weeks.
His Moonshine single, gained a Gold certification in Australia and Two platinum certifications in his home country.
In 2009, his single Swing sold more than 1.5 million copies in the US, making him the first New Zealand hip hop artist with a single certified Platinum in the US.
Savelio won the Best New Zealand Act at the 2015 MTV Europe Music Awards.
