About Scott Adams
Scott Adams is a cartoonist and author of American nationality. In the 1990s, he rose to international fame. He is the creator of the comic strip titled “Dilbert”. He gained interest in comics as a young child. By the age of six, he had already started drawing cartoons. In 1968, at the age of 11, he won his first drawing competition.
Before Adams became a full-time cartoonist, he worked for different organizations such as Crocker National Bank, and Pacific Bell. His credits include “Always Postpone Meetings with Time-Wasting Morons” in 1992, “It's Obvious You Won't Survive by Your Wits Alone” in 1995, “Freedom's Just Another Word for People Finding Out You're Useless” in 2009, “Problem Identified: And You're Probably Not Part of the Solution” in 2010, “How To Fail at Almost Everything and Still Win Big” in 2013, “Loserthink: How Untrained Brains Are Ruining America” in 2019.
Education
He attended Windham-Ashland-Jewett Central School, Hartwick College, and the University of California, Berkeley.
Family
Scott Raymond Adams is the child of Virginia and Paul Adams. He has a sibling named Dave Adams. In 2006, he tied the knot with Shelly Miles but divorced her in 2014. Six years later, he married Kristina Basham.
Awards
In 1997, he was awarded the National Cartoonist Society Reuben Award and Newspaper Comic Strip Award. He was also a recipient of the NCTE George Orwell Award for “Distinguished Contribution to Honesty and Clarity in Public Language”.
