About Scott Gorham
Scott Gorham’s journey to stardom started when he moved to England from the United States. During his early years in the country, he performed in pubs and other bands before he created his group known as Fast Buck.
He established his name in the music industry when he joined Irish rock band Thin Lizzy in 1974. Considered as one of the most important performers in the group, the American guitarist, who occasionally worked as the songwriter, helped the collective to publish a number of albums which include “Nightlife” and “Johnny the Fox”.
Other bands
After many performances and projects with Thin Lizzy, the California-born musician established another group known as Black Star Riders in 2012. The following year, they issued their maiden album which was dubbed “All Hell Breaks Loose”.
He has also had a stint with American band 21 Guns. He was pivotal in the recording of the group’s first album “Salute”.
Private Life
He has a sister called Vickie. He’s the uncle of guitarist Jesse Siebenberg.
Awards
At the 2013 Metal Hammer Golden Gods Awards, he was given the "Riff Lord Award".
Trivia
During his time with Thin Lizzy, he performed alongside some prominent names like Brian Robertson, and Brian Downey.
