About Shane Filan
Irish singer and songwriter Shane Filan started performing in a six-member band called Six as One in the mid-1990s. After some restructuring of members by Irish music manager Louis Walsh, the band eventually metamorphosed into Westlife, one of the world’s all-time most successful musical groups. He is recognized as a co-lead singer of Westlife alongside Mark Feehily. As a solo artist, he released his third album, “Love Always” in 2017.Family Life
His mother, Mae, was the one who got Louis Walsh to meet Six as One for the first time. She ran a diner with Shane’s father, Peter Filan. He has three sisters and three brothers. In 2003, his Westlife bandmate Kian Egan became his cousin-in-law after he married Egan’s cousin, Gillian Walsh with whom he has three children.
Achievements
As an individual, he has received awards from the Smash Hits Awards and the TV Hits Awards.
Trivia
