About Sharon den Adel
Sharon den Adel started performing in bands when she was 14 years old. The Dutch singer has come to be known internationally for being the lead vocalist of Within Temptation, a Dutch symphonic metal band which she co-founded in 1996. She is also one of the band’s main songwriters. In 2018, she released her debut solo album titled “My Indigo’.
Family Life
She has been in a long-term relationship with Robert Westerholt, whom she has known since high school. The two also co-founded Within Temptation. They have three children together.
Achievements
Between 2009 and 2014, she won two International Dance Music Awards and two Loudwire Music Awards for “Rock Goddess of the Year”.
Trivia
She has made guest appearances on albums by Dutch acts such as Ali B, Armin van Buuren and Delain.
