About Sheikh Hasina
The Bangladeshi, Sheikh Hasina, is a politician and has been his nation’s Prime Minister from 2009. She has occupied the position for four terms including 1996-2001, which was her first term. In the history of the nation, she is the Prime Minister with the longest tenure in office.
Between the periods of 1986-1995, she was the opposition leader of the Awami League. In 2020, Hasina was ranked 39th on the list of 100 Most Powerful Females in the world by Forbes. On the same list, she was ranked 26th and 30th in 2018 and 2017, respectively.

Family
Hasina was the child of Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib and Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, Bangladesh’s first president. In 1968, she tied the knot with M. A. Wazed. Her two children are named Sajeeb Wazed and Saima Wazed
Honors
Channel 4 honored her as the Mother of humanity. In 1997 and 1999, Hasina received a Medal of Distinction from the Lions Clubs International. Additionally, she won the Indira Gandhi Prize in 2009.
