Shola Ameobi is a professional Nigerian footballer known for his impressive career with a number of clubs, most notably the English club Newcastle United F.C. He joined the Nigeria national football team in 2012 and represented his country at the 2014 FIFA World Cup tournament.
Family Life
He is the son of Margaret and John Ameobi. He grew up with younger brothers Sammy and Tomi Amoeba, who both became professional footballers. In 2008, he got married to Jennifer Ameobi.
Trivia
Despite playing for England at the under-21 level, he switched his allegiance to his country of birth Nigeria and made his debut for the Nigerian national team in 2012.
He is one of the highest goal scorers for the England national under-21 football team.
