About Siegfried Fischbacher
Siegfried Fischbacher was a German former magician and entertainer, best known for being one-half of the popular German-American stage magic duo Siegfried & Roy, alongside his colleague, Roy Horn. The duo gained fame across the United States for using white tigers and white lions in their live shows at the Mirage Resort and Casino in Las Vegas.
Family Life
He was the son of Maria and Martin Fischbacher. He left behind a younger sister named, Dolore Fischbacher.
Death
He died on January 13, 2021 due to complications resulting from pancreatic cancer. His demise happened eight months after partner passed away.
Trivia
He and Roy have a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Prior to the formation of Siegfried & Roy, he worked as a magician on a German ocean liner.
In 2003, while he and Roy were performing at the Mirage, Roy almost lost his life when one of the tigers bit him in the neck. The incident forced the Mirage to cancel the show permanently.
