About Sinéad Cusack
As the daughter of two actors, Sinéad Cusack chose to follow in the footsteps of her parents. She landed her first roles in stage plays at the Dublin-based Abbey Theatre. Her on-screen debut followed in the late 1960s.
She achieved widespread recognition as a theatre actress after joining the Royal Shakespeare Company in 1975 and appearing in productions such as “Much Ado About Nothing” and “As You Like”.
She is also recognized for her role as Charlotte Dawson in the television mini-series “Have Your Cake and Eat It”.
Family Life
Her parents were Irish actors Cyril and Maureen Cusack. Actresses Niamh and Sorcha Cusack are her sisters while her half-sister is identified as Catherine Cusack – she is also an actress.
She has been married to actor Jeremy Irons – she has birthed two sons with him. She is also the mother of Irish politician, Richard Boyd Barrett.

Her honors include multiple Tony and Olivier Award nominations, an Evening Standard Award and a Critics’ Circle Award.
