About Slavoj Žižek
Slavoj Žižek is a celebrated philosopher, widely known for his book titled “The Sublime Object of Ideology”. The Slovakian researcher and sociologist has also published a series of books which are mostly centered on culture and politics. Some of his publications are titled “Underground, or Ethnic Cleansing as a Continuation of Poetry by Other Means”, “For a Leftist Appropriation of the European Legacy” and “Too Much Democracy?”.
He has also held high positions in other top educational institutions including the University of Ljubljana, and Birkbeck Institute for the Humanities, University of London. In addition, he has been involved in a number of films including “Liebe Dein Symptom wie Dich selbst!”, “The Pervert's Guide to Cinema” and “The Pervert's Guide to Ideology”.
Family
He’s the son of Vesna and Jože Žižek. In 2005, he married Analía Hounie, a model, but they divorced some years later. As of the end of July 2020, he was said to be married to Slovenian journalist, Jela Krečič – he also has a son.
