About Sonny Parker
Sonny Parker is a retired basketball player from America. He played as an off guard as well as small forward. He started playing basketball in high school where he received many honors. Parker joined Mineral Area College for two years when he completed high school. There, he won the Conference Player of the Year, Region Player of the Year, and the 1973 conference championship.
In 1974, he moved to Texas A&M University. Over there too, he had a very successful career which was marked with two consecutive Southwest Conference titles. In the 1976 NBA Draft, Parker was selected by the Golden State Warriors. He spent six years with the team.

He was educated at Farragut Career Academy High School.

He tied the knot with Folola Finau-Parker. He has given birth to seven children including Darryl, Jabari, Georgia, and Christian.
Awards
He won the Texas A&M MVP Award. Again, he is a two-time First-team All-SWC player (1975, and 1976). Additionally, he won the Pizza Hut-Slam Dunk Award. He was also named among the SWC All-Decade Team.
