About Sonny Robertson
Ryan Derek Robertson, known professionally as Sonny Robertson, is an English singer who initially gained fame as a member of the British boy band, Overload Generation. The band competed in the eleventh series of the UK’s X-Factor. After the group’s disbandment in 2015, he played the bass guitar for the band Young Kings for a short while before he found regular night-shift work at the railway. It was during his time there that he was offered a spot on the British band, RoadTrip. He replaced Mickey Cobban on the band in June 2019. He stayed in the band for a year and announced his exit in May 2020.
Family Life
He was born to Hayley and Tony Robertson-Bourke. He has two sisters, Sharna and Lauren Rose. He also has three half-brothers from his father’s previous marriage. He and Hannah Daniels, a makeup artist, started dating in 2015.
Trivia
He was given the name Sonny by a group of friends from school.
Robertson has performed alongside Joseph Devries, Andy Fowler, Jordi Whitworth, and Ollie Garland during his time with the group, Overload Generation.
