Sophie Ellis-Bextor is a celebrated British model, singer and composer. She rose to prominence in the late 1990s as the lead vocalist of the Britpop group known as The Audience. Ellis-Bextor went solo after the group broke up and found success in the early 2000s. Her music is influenced by mainstream pop, disco, nu-disco, and electronic music from the 1980s. As a solo performer, she has released lots of successful albums including “Read My Lips” (2001), “Trip the Light Fantastic” (2007), and Familia (2016).
