About Spencer Smith
After a decade of pursuing a career as a musician and songwriter, Spencer Smith announced his retirement in 2015. He is recognized best for his work with the American pop rock band, Panic! at the Disco, which he co-founded in 2004 with his childhood friends Ryan Ross, Brent Wilson and Brendon Urie. He was the band’s drummer and earned credits for four albums put out by the band: “Pretty. Odd.”, “A Fever You Can’t Sweat Out”, “Too Weird to Live, Too Rare to Die” and “Vices & Virtues”.
Personal Life
He grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada. Ryan Ross, with whom he co-founded Panic! at the Disco, was his schoolmate at Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas.
Post-Panic! at the Disco Activities
He retired from the music industry after taking time off to recover from his addiction struggle with alcohol and prescription pills. He returned as a talent manager in 2018.
