About Stan Collymore
For 11 years (1990-2001), Stanley Collymore played professional soccer as a striker, spending almost his entire career in England with the exception of his final gig with Real Oviedo in Spain. The retired soccer star is remembered best for his time in the English Premier League with Nottingham Forest (1993-1995) and Liverpool (1995-1997). He also played for Crystal Palace, Stafford Rangers, Southend United, Aston Villa, Leicester City and Bradford City.
Personal Life
He is the son of an English woman and a Barbadian man. He dated Michelle Green, whom he went on to have a child with. Their relationship, just like the one he had with Swedish-British television presenter Ulrika Johnson in 1998, ended due to physical assault from him.
Achievements
He was the Premier League’s Player of the Month for January 1996.
Trivia
He has been an advocate for awareness creation on clinical depression, a condition which he has been struggling with since his active days as a soccer player.
