Stan Walker came into the limelight in 2009 when he contested and won season seven of “Australian Idol”. Following his win, the New Zealand singer was awarded a recording contract by Sony Music Australia, which helped him release his debut album “Introducing Stan Walker” in December of the same year. He followed it up with his second album, “From the Inside Out” in 2010. He is recognized best for hit singles like “Loud” and “Unbroken”.

His parents’ names are April and Ross Walker. He is New Zealand Maori. He was raised alongside his four siblings. He grew up in a troubled home, where both parents went to jail for dealing in drugs. In 2018, it was revealed that he had undergone surgery to remove his stomach in an effort to prevent him from getting a form of cancer which had killed over 25 family members.
