About Stéphane Mallarmé
Stéphane Mallarmé has been credited for inspiring other 20th century artistic schools such as Futurism and Cubism. Known to be a student of the Symbolism movement, the French poet produced quite a number of poems including “A Throw of the Dice will Never Abolish Chance” and “Afternoon of a Faun”.
His career inspired Claude Debussy's work entitled “Prélude à l'après-midi d'un faune” which was published in 1894.
