About Stephen Warnock
Stephen Warnock came into the limelight in 2004 when he made his first appearance for Liverpool F.C. in a UEFA Champions League match against Austrian side Grazer AK. The English former soccer player, who mostly operated as a left-back, featured for the team for five years.
Throughout his over 15 years career, he played for many teams including Aston Villa, Blackburn Rovers, and Wigan Athletic.
International career
In 1998, Warnock earned his first call-up into the English national team as a member of the U16 side. After series of impressive performances at club level, he joined the senior team in 2008 and played until 2010. He was a member of the English team that participated in the FIFA World Cup in 2010.
Other works
After ending his playing career, the Lancashire-born soccer star has been a regular face on television where he serves as a pundit. He has worked for a number of top broadcasting companies such as BT Sport, and BBC.
Achievements
He won the UEFA Super Cup with Liverpool in 2005.
