All in all, he spent about four years in Japan, sometimes doubling as a copy editor and writer for a number of news outlets and magazines. He also did stand-up comedy.
He was the screenwriter and co-producer of the 2007 drama film “Sinner”. The film, which was directed by Marc Benardout, starred Nick Chinlund, Georgina Cates, Tom Wright, and among others. The film was Sills’ screenwriting debut.
Other films that he helped produce include “Finding Fritztown”, “Sironia”, and “A&E Biography of The Year”.
Accomplishments
At the 41st Annual Brooklyn Arts Council International Film & Video Festival, “Sinner” took home the Best Feature Film (Narrative) Award. The film also won the Best Screenplay Award at the 2007 Newport Beach Film Festival.
