About Stone Gossard
Stone Gossard started his musical career as a member of a local group known as March of Crimes where he performed alongside Ben Shepherd, and Jonathan Evison. He went on to perform with other prominent groups such as Green River, and Mother Love Bone before co-creating the rock collective known as Pearl Jam.
With the group, he mostly performs as the lead guitarist, though he sometimes supports with some vocals. By the end of 2020, the group had released a total of 11 albums of which Gossard played key roles. Some of their well-known albums include “No Code”, “Backspacer” and “Lightning Bolt”.
Other works
In 1994, he teamed up with Regan Hagar to create a record label named Loosegroove Records. Initially under the control of Sony, the label became an independent entity in 1996. He has also pursued a career in acting. He appeared in the film titled “Singles” which premiered in 1992.
Family
Growing up, he was privileged to be under the supervision of his parents Mary Carolyn Carpenter and David W. Gossard Jr. His two sisters are Shelly Joan Gossard and Star Leslie Dirette. He has a daughter with Liz Weber who’s called Vivian Sparks.
Education
He was a student of Northwest School.
Accomplishments
Together with other members of the Pearl Jam band, he was selected into the prestigious Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2017.
Trivia
Aside from the abovementioned bands, he has also performed with bands like Brad, Moonlander, and the Temple of the Dog.
