Susan Strasberg was 14 years old when she made her debut as a professional actor with an appearance in “Maya”, a 1953 off-Broadway production. In the same year, she played her first screen role as Susie Strasberg in an episode of “Goodyear Playhouse”.

She got her breakthrough while portraying Anne Frank in the Broadway adaptation of “The Diary of Anne Frank”. Notable screen roles she played include Millie Owens in “Picnic”, Edith in the Italian film, “Kapo” and Rosanna in “Hemingway’s Adventures of a Young Man”.
Personal Life
She was the daughter of stage actress Paula Strasberg and the Polish-born theatre director and actor Lee Strasberg. She was married to actor Christopher Jones from 1965 to 1968. The marriage produced a daughter, Jennifer. She had previously dated actors Richard Burton, Cary Grant, Bobby Driscoll and Warren Beatty.
Cause of Death
She died in January from breast cancer.
