About T. E. Lawrence
T. E. Lawrence (Thomas Edward Lawrence) was a British archaeologist, army officer and writer. He is best known as Lawrence of Arabia, because of his activities in the Sinai and Palestine Campaign, as well as the Arab Revolt. He wrote "Seven Pillars of Wisdom", "Revolt in the Desert" and "The Mint".
His Personal Life
He has been described by writers, friends of his and biographers as an asexual, though there are speculations that he was bisexual and a masochist.
Fun Facts
In 1962, the film "Lawrence of Arabia", named after him, won 7 Oscars and actor Peter O'Toole portrayed him. He has also been portrayed by Ralph Fiennes and Robert Pattinson in other projects.
