Takeoff, who was born, Kirshnik Khari ball, was a popular American rapper, songwriter, and singer. He was well-recognized for his association with the Hip-Hop trio, Migos.
Takeoff began rapping with the hip-hop group, in 2008; however, they rose to fame in 2013, after they released their single, Versace.
Family Life
His mother, a hairstylist and an older sister of a fellow rapper, Quavo, raised him. The rapper was also a cousin to fellow American rapper, Offset.
Achievements
Migos’ first studio album titled Yung Rich Nation reached number 17 on the Billboard 200 in 2015, while Bad and Boujee(2016), peaked at number one on the US Billboard Hot 100 charts in 2017.
Trivia
He publicly showed his indifference towards drag queens by refusing to perform at a Katy Perry concert alongside his group.
He was noted for carrying a bag filled with cash on almost all his outings.
At the 2015 Spring concert in Georgia Southern University, Migos, together with their entourage were arrested for possession of marijuana and firearms. He was in police custody for 2 days.
Cause of Death
The rapper’s life was cut short after he was hit by a bullet during a fatal shooting incident that occurred at the 810 Billiards & Bowling Houston, a bowling alley in Houston. At the time of the incident, the rapper was seen together with his uncle Quavo.
