Temilade Openiyi is popular in the music scene as Tems. She is a Nigerian singer-songwriter and a record producer regarded as one of her country’s most successful female musicians, with hit tracks to her credit.
She rose to fame following the release of her debut single title "Mr. Rebel", in 2018, which received two nominations for “Best Vocal Performance” and “Best Alternative Song” at the Nigerian awards program “The Headies”. Aside from this, she had another streaming success with the track "Try Me," as well as her collaboration with renowned Nigerians and international acts like Davido on the Afro beats remix of Khalid's "Know Your Worth".
Canadian superstar Drake featured her on his UK chart-topping album “Certified Lover Boy”. In 2020 she was featured on Wizkid’s viral hit song “Essence”.

She studied piano as a child and used to sing with her guitarist brother. The Lagos-born singer composed her first song at the age of six, using her mother's poem book.

In August 2021 she won the BET Amplified Artist of The Month.
In 2022 the Nigerian songstress was also named "Best International Act" at the BET Awards. In addition, she received the "Best Collaboration" award together with Wizkid for their song "Essence" at said award ceremony.
