About Thelma Ritter
Academy Award nominee Thelma Ritter started her career in the entertainment industry as a stage performer. She appeared on many Broadway shows before making her film debut in 1947. She gained international recognition three years later when she brought life into the Birdie Coonan character in the film “All About Eve”.
The American actress went on to star in many films and television series including “Goodyear Television Playhouse” and “Pillow Talk”.

She was the daughter of Lucy and Charles Ritter. Her 1927 marriage to Joseph Moran produced two kids.
