About Theresa May
Theresa May became a global icon after she was elected as United Kingdom’s Prime Minister in 2016, a position she held until 2019. She has spent most of her political career with the Conservative Party. Aside from that, she has served in other positions in government which include Home Secretary, and Minister for Women and Equalities.
Prior to becoming a politician, May worked in the financial sector and from 1977 to 1983 she was with the Bank of England. She was also a financial advisor at the Association for Payment Clearing Services between 1985 and 1997.

She was born to Hubert and Zaidee Mary Brasier. In 1980, she got married to British banker Philip May.
Education
The former Prime Minister had her early education at the ‘Heythrop Primary School’ as well as the ‘Wheatley Park Comprehensive School’. She later studied geography at the ‘University of Oxford’.
Trivia
She was not in favor of the Brexit deal, which led her to resign from her post in 2019.
In order to encourage the election of more females in her party, she co-founded the “Women2Win” group.
