Tim Long is a multiple-time Emmy Award-winning comedy writer and executive producer. He is known for his lauded performance in films and television shows like "The Exchange," "The Simpsons," and many others.
Education
He graduated from South Huron District High School, received a B.A. in English from the University of Toronto in 1992 and an M.A. from Columbia University in 1993.
“The Simpsons” and Other Career
Following graduation, he worked for numerous New York-based periodicals, including GQ and Vanity Fair, before joining Bill Maher's writing staff at “Politically Correct” in 1994.
Prior to working for “The David Letterman Show” for three years, Tim Long interned at Spy magazine. “Kevin and the Chart of Destiny”, a pilot that he created and scripted for the Showtime network, debuted in 2008.
Tim Long was part of the writing team of several episodes of the critically acclaimed animated sitcom “Simpsons”. He also served as executive producer on the sitcom. In 2007, he served as a consulting writer on “The Simpsons Movie”.
