The former German professional football goalkeeper Tim Wiese enjoyed success in his career as both a footballer and a professional wrestler.
Football Career
He had his youth development at two clubs – DJK Dürscheid and Bayer Leverkusen. In 1999, he signed for Fortuna Köln and went on to play over 20 times for the German club. His club football career also saw him feature for clubs such as 1. FC Kaiserslautern, 1899 Hoffenheim and SSV Dillingen.
Wiese played in one game for SSV Dillingen in the Kreisliga Schwaben-Nord in 2017 despite having previously announced his retirement from football.
Wiese participated in 13 games for the German under-21 squad between 2003 and 2005. Three years later, against England, he made his senior international debut.
Wiese kept playing as a member of the German team though he was not at the 2010 FIFA World Cup held in South Africa.
After retiring from football in 2014, Wiese bulked up significantly, sparking rumors that he will go into professional wrestling. Eventually, in 2016, he took part in a WWE match.
Wrestling Career
In September 2014, Wiese took part as a guest timekeeper at a WWE live event in Frankfurt. On June 7, 2016, the former footballer allegedly agreed to Triple H's invitation to train at WWE's performance facility. At a WWE live event in Munich on November 3, 2016, he joined forces with Sheamus and Cesaro to defeat The Shining Stars and Bo Dallas. He left the WWE in 2017.
