Born Timothy Zachary Mosley, Timbaland is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, record producer and DJ.
He was a DJ and also produced sounds for R&B and hip hop acts for a while till he became famous when he worked on singer, Aaliyah, and rapper, Missy Elliott’s albums in 1996 and 1997 respectively.
Family Life
He was born to Garland and Latrice Mosley. He has a younger brother known as Sebastian who is a rapper. His sister, Courtney Rashon, is an author and a makeup artist.
Achievements
In 2001, 2003 and 2008, he was crowned “Songwriter of the Year” by the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers.
Timbaland has also won four Grammy Awards; two for “Best Dance Recording” and the other two for “Best R&B Song” as of February 2020.
Trivia
In 1986, when he was only 14, he was accidentally shot by a co-worker at the restaurant where he was working.
