About Timothy Treadwell
Timothy Treadwell was an American environmentalist, wildlife author and documentary filmmaker who founded the Grizzly People, a non-profit bear-protection organization. He entered into the public spotlight for leaving the comfort of his home to live in the midst of grizzly bears at the Katmai National Park in Alaska. For several summers, he lived with the bears until 2003 when he and his girlfriend Amie Huguenard were tragically killed by one of the brown bears in the park. His life and death were later dramatized in the famous documentary film Grizzly Man.
Trivia
