About Tolga Zengin
Turkish former football goalie Tolga Zengin played for Trabzonspor from 2000 until 2013 before switching to Beşiktaş J.K. He received his first national team call up to the Turkish squad in 2006.
Career
At the age of 12, he started playing youth soccer for the Trabzon-based club Idmanocagi. In 2006, he made his Super Lig debut for Trabzonspor, where he would play for the following eight seasons. He was called up to the Turkey national football team for a friendly match against Luxembourg in August 2006 as a result of his strong early-season performances for Trabzonspor. With Trabzonspor, he won the Turkish Cup and Super Cup in 2010.
After an excellent tenure with Trabzonspor, the adept goalkeeper signed a contract with Beşiktaş J.K. in 2013.
All in all, he made close to 200 club football appearances. From 2006 to 2014, the former Turkish international was capped nine times by his country.
He made numerous appearances in the UEFA Champions League, but his best effort came in a group stage match between Trabzonspor and Internazionale in September 2011.
