About Tom Bosley
American actor Thomas Edward Bosley pursued a career in film, on television and stage which spanned over five decades. Having made his professional debut in 1955, he first came to prominence in 1960 while originating the title character of the musical, “Fiorello!” on Broadway. He became known best for the television role of Howard Cunningham in the 1970s sitcom, “Happy Days”. He also played the titular role in “Father Dowling Mysteries”.
Personal Life
He was raised in Chicago, Illinois by his Jewish parents, Benjamin Bosley and Dora Heyman. He studied at the Chicago-based Lake View High School and DePaul University. He was married to a former actress named Patricia Carr and they had a daughter, Amy.
Achievements
He received a Tony Award for his performance in “Fiorello!”
Death
He died on 19th October 2010 from staph infection complications aged 83.
