About Tom Laughlin
After performing in a number of stage plays, Tom Laughlin made his screen debut in 1955 when he was cast in the television series entitled “Climax!”. He took a break from acting in 1961 and returned six years later with a role in the film titled “The Born Losers”.
In 1971, he played the title role and directed the film “Billy Jack” which shot him to international stardom. That aside, he was featured in loads of films including “The Master Gunfighter” and “Billy Jack Goes to Washington”.
Other works
Aside from his works in the movie industry, Laughlin was also popular in the political circles of the United States. In 1992, he contested for the presidential spot of the Democratic Party. He also worked as a psychologist with football star Lawrence Phillips being one of his most popular clients.
He went ahead to publish many books with some titled “9 Indispendable Ingredients to Writing a Hit”, and “The Psychology of Cancer”.
Family
He grew up as the only son of Thomas and Margaret Laughlin. He was married to Delores Taylor and they had three kids named Christina, Frank, and Teresa.
Education
After studying at Washington High School, he moved to the University of Wisconsin. He later joined Marquette University.
