About Tommy Davis
Tommy Davis excelled in the minor league before he was drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers into the MLB. He made his debut in 1959 and played for the Dodgers until 1966. During his time with the franchise, he won the World Series championship in 1963 and starred in three All-Star Games.
Mostly used as a third baseman or left fielder, the American baseball star featured for ten different MLB teams before leaving the league in 1977. Some of the teams he played for were the Baltimore Orioles, the Chicago White Sox and the Oakland Athletics.
Post retirement
After his playing career, Davis went on to work as a coach. He was best known for his time with the Seattle Mariners which he joined in 1981.
Personal Life
He was married to a lady called Carol. This baseball legend was survived by five kids named Morgana, Leslie, Lauren, Herman Thomas III, and Carlyn Davis.
Education
He participated in many sporting events during his time at Boys High School, Brooklyn.
Achievements
He was the National League batting champion in 1962 and 1963.
