Tony Sirico, born Gennaro Anthony Sirico Jr., was an American actor whose career spanned over forty years. An ex-convict, he credited acting for his breakaway from a life of crimes.
He was inspired to pursue acting after an acting troupe visited him in prison. He rose to prominence through his portrayal of Peter Paul Gualtieri in the American crime drama television series, “The Sopranos”.
Family Life
He was raised in Bensonhurst and East Flatbush, Brooklyn, New York City. He was the brother of Roman Catholic priest Robert Sirico. He was a father of two.
Achievements
He won two Screen Actors Guild Awards out of seven nominations for his role in “The Sopranos”.
Trivia
He released Paolo Per Uomo, a line of cologne in 2008.
Sirico battled dementia a few years prior to his demise.
