About Tony Yayo
Tony Yayo rose to stardom after he was signed by the rap group, G-Unit, in 2003. He played a role in the group’s maiden album dubbed “Beg for Mercy” which was released later that year. He was also a member of the collective when they released their second album “T.O.S: Terminate on Sight”.
He debuted as a solo rapper with his 2005 song titled "So Seductive" which featured G-Unit’s founder 50 Cent. That same year, he issued his maiden studio album “Thoughts of a Predicate Felon”.
Legal issues
Yayo has been found on the wrong side of the law on different occasions. In 2002, he was arrested and jailed for possessing weapons. He was released two years later, and was again grabbed for holding a fake passport.
In 2007, he was arrested by law enforcers for allegedly assaulting Jimmy Rosemond’s son. After a number of court hearings, the charges were dropped in 2008.
Personal Life
His original name is Marvin Benson Bernard. He grew up alongside two siblings. His children are called London and Maniyah.
Trivia
He has appeared in loads of films which include “S.W.A.T.: Firefight” and “Morning Glory”.
