About Tove Lo
Tove Lo, born Ebba Tove Elsa Nilsson, is a Swedish singer and songwriter who became known for her genre of pop music which incorporates grunge influences with lyrics, which usually detail her honest personal experiences.
Tove started out as a singer with the band, Tremblebee, which she formed in 2006. After its disbandment, she pursued and achieved a successful songwriting career with Warner Chapell Music, Inc.
She dropped her first album named, Queen of the Clouds, in 2013.
Family Life
She is the daughter of Magnus Nilsson, a co-founder of iZettle, a Swedish financial technology company, and Gunilla Nilsson Edholm, a psychologist. She has an elder brother.
Achievements
In 2015, Tove won the Grammis (the Swedish music awards) for Artist of the Year and her song, Habits (Stay High) received the award for Song of the Year. In the same year, her album, Queen of the Clouds won the European Border Breakers Award’s Sweden Album of the Year and the Scadipop Awards’ Best Album.
