Vanessa Redgrave is an actress and political activist who gained prominence playing Rosalind in the 1961 play As You Like It. She went on to play prominent roles in numerous films such as Julia, A Man for All Seasons, Murder on the Orient Express, Mission: Impossible and The Butler.
Family Life
She is the daughter of actors Rachel Kempson and Sir Michael Redgrave. She was married to actor Tony Richardson from 1962 to 1967. The couple had two daughters, actresses Natasha and Joely. She dated actor Timothy Dalton from 1971 to 1986. She married actor Franco Nero in 2006.
Achievements
In addition to winning prestigious awards such as Oscar, Golden Globe, BAFTA, and Screen Actors Guild awards, she is also a Commander (CBE) of the Order of the British Empire.
