About Vince Lombardi
Vince Lombardi was an American professional football player and coach best remembered for his successful coaching career in the 1950s and 1960s, during which he coached a number of National Football League (NFL) teams, most notably the Green Bay Packers, with whom he won two Super Bowls and six NFL Championship Games. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest coaches in the entire history of the NFL. He was inducted into several Halls of Fame, including the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

He was the oldest of five children born to Matilda Izzo and Enrico Lonbardi. He and Marie Planitz got married in 1940. Their children Vince Jr. and Susan were born in 1942 and 1947 respectively.
