About Vincent Lecavalier
Before joining the National Hockey League, Vincent Lecavalier played in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League for Rimouski Océanic. In 1998, he was drafted into the NHL Tampa Bay Lightning where he would go on to represent for 14 years. He helped the team to win the Stanley Cup in 2004.
After leaving the team, the Canadian star, who mostly played at the center position, signed a five years contract with Philadelphia Flyers which was said to be worth around $22.5 million. He also played for the Los Angeles Kings before retiring in 2016.
Personal Life
He became the husband of Caroline Portelance in 2011, a decade after they began dating. By the end of November 2021, the couple had raised three kids.
Education
He was a student of John Rennie High School before he started his education at Athol Murray College of Notre Dame.
Awards
He helped Canada to win the Hockey World Cup in 2004. Three years later, he won the Maurice "Rocket" Richard Trophy. His other decorations include the King Clancy Memorial Trophy, and NHL Foundation Player Award.
Trivia
The number 4 shirt of the Tampa Bay Lightning was retired in 2018 to honor the former star.
