About Vinnie Paul
Motivated by his father, Vinnie Paul started gaining attention in the music industry after co-founding the Pantera band in 1981 alongside Terry Glaze, and Dimebag Darrell, his brother. Two years later, the group published their first album which was entitled “Metal Magic”.
Mostly seen on the drums, the American musician helped the group to release some successful albums including “Cowboys from Hell” and “Reinventing the Steel”.
Aside from Pantera, he also performed with other bands like Hellyeah, and Damageplan, which he also co-created with his brother.
Family
He was the son of renowned songwriter Jerry Abbott and his wife Carolyn Abbot. His brother was murdered during one of their shows in the Columbus city of Ohio.
Death
According to reports, he died from a heart-related condition.
