About Wendy Barrie
Wendy Barrie was in her teens when she decided to take up a career as an actress. She appeared in her first film in 1932 when she was cast as Olive Wynn in “Threads”. Admired for her unique hair color, the American actress starred in loads of films and television series throughout her career which lasted for three decades.
Some popular movies and TV programs that she appeared in were “Dead End” and “Freedom of the Seas”. Her fame increased after she hosted her own television show which premiered on the ABC network in 1948.

At birth, she was named Marguerite Wendy Jenkins. Her parents were Ellen McDonagh and Francis Charles John Graigoe Jenkin. It has been reported that she and notorious mobster Benjamin "Bugsy" Siegel had a daughter called Carolyn. She was also married to David L. Meyer.

She has been honored with a star on the famous Hollywood Walk of Fame.
